Voice, Piano, & Songwriting Instructor

Amy Azzara, a vocalist and songwriter from Rochester, NY, was raised in a musical family, always surrounded by music. She grew up grew up listening to the music of James Taylor, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind & Fire, Tori Kelly, and Hank Mobley and Miles Davis, among other greats in the jazz idiom. Amy has experience in musical theater and jazz, and sings in a variety of styles that also includes pop.

Amy is currently studying Jazz Vocal Performance at the University of Miami Frost School of Music. There, Amy sings lead soprano in a Downbeat award-winning jazz vocal ensemble, and learns from renowned jazz educators.

Amy takes every opportunity she can to record, perform, write, and sing. Music is an essential piece of Amy’s identity, and the way she interacts with the world around her. Her original music is available on streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music. Amy has completed recordings for the Jump Right In and Developing Musicianship Through Improvisation series, and for various projects through the University of Miami Frost School of Music.

When Amy she is not singing, she is probably outside on an adventure. Or, she is with her family and friends!
