Robyn Savitzky
Violin and Viola Teaching Artist
Dr. Robyn Clair Savitzky, violist and violinist, is an active chamber and orchestral musician. She is passionate about teaching and performing.
Robyn received her Bachelor’s degree in viola performance from New York University. She acquired her Master’s degree from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, and her Artist’s Diploma and Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Miami Frost School of Music.
Robyn is a founding member of The Wild String Quartet, a dynamic ensemble that brings exciting, interactive, and relevant chamber music to non-traditional venues stretching along the East Coast from Miami to Boston. From 2009-2010, Robyn performed and traveled extensively aboard Celebrity Cruise Lines as a member of the Tea for Four String Quartet. While at the University of Miami, Robyn was a Henri Mancini Institute Fellow, and performed with such artists as Mark O’Connor, Gloria Estefan, Maria Schneider, and Dawn Upshaw.
