Community Arts Program (CAP)
2021 Summer Concert Series

36th Season!

8:00 p.m. every other Thursday
June 3 – August 12

At the close of the 34th Community Arts Program (CAP) Summer Concert Series in 2019, who would have guessed the 35th year in 2020 would find us living in a more challenging world! Within it, the arts prevailed and provided comfort to many.

CAP is thrilled that it offered solace with the Community Arts Program (CAP) 2020 VIRTUAL Summer Concert Series – for six consecutive Thursday evenings, July 9 through August 13. Over CAPcast, CAP Facebook, Instagram TV, and YouTube, CAP brought musicians into concertgoers’ homes during the trying times of COVID-19. How fortunate the Community Arts Program (CAP) was to virtually connect, and to also share its story and work, with thousands across the Americas and Europe!

As we now look to 2021, we hope to return on-ground for the Community Arts Program (CAP) 2021 Summer Concert Series – six jazz and classical concerts 8:00 p.m. every other Thursday, June 3 through August 12. From opening night with jazz clarinetist Ken Peplowski in a Benny Goodman tribute; Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition first-prize winner, Timothy Chooi; Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition Finalist, Quiana Lynell; and three additional musical marvels, CAP will present six concerts within the Spanish-revival style beauty of the historic Coral Gables Congregational United Church of Christ – in Coral Gables, FL.

We also look forward in 2021 to continuing our Friday morning CAP Summer Master Classes for children, youth, and adults. Taught by CAP Summer Concert Series artists, CAP Summer Master Classes promise a wonderful time of exploration and music – that often include full-out, fun jam sessions!

We’re so eager to see our many Community Arts Program (CAP) Summer Concert Series friends again! We also can’t wait to make new friends who include Coral Gables, Greater Miami, and the Community Arts Program (CAP) 2021 Summer Concert Series within travel destination plans! CLICK HERE; add your information to our e-mail and/or postal mail list, and receive CAP concert details and updates. Here’s to the best of times together!

With dedication and sincerest good wishes,
