Isabel Breakey

Voice & Piano Teaching Artist

Isabel Breakey, soprano vocalist, is a New Hampshire native and graduate of both the Oberlin Conservatory and the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. Cleveland Classical has described Isabel as “engaging, expressive, and consistently clear”.

Isabel’s notable roles include La Fée (Cendrillon), Carolina (Il Matrimonio Segreto), Eurydice (Orphée aux enfers), Sister Mary Robert (Sister Act), and Cinderella (Into the Woods). She is equally at home with new operatic repertoire, having workshopped roles in Evan Mack’s A Nearer Mother and Melissa Dunphy’s Alice Tierney, among others.

In 2022, Isabel was the recipient of the Ruth Cogan Memorial Award from Oberlin Conservatory. This was given in recognition of her excellence in both voice performance and pedagogy.

Isabel continues to share across South Florida her passion for music, through her work as a voice, theater, and piano instructor. She is also on the faculty of Florida Atlantic University, where she teaches musical theater voice.
