Linda Alvarado is a music educator and vocalist from Miami, FL. She is a graduate of the University of Miami where she earned a Master’s in vocal jazz performance. Her undergraduate studies took her to Kalamazoo, MI where she earned a Bachelor of Music in jazz studies from Western Michigan University.
Since the start of her career, Linda has shared the stage with vocalists Becca Stevens, Cyrille Aimée, Sara Gazarek, Kate McGarry, Peter Eldridge, the Real Group, and the New York Voices. She has sung backgrounds for recording artists including Ben Folds, Nathan Pacheco and Jon Secada.
Linda currently teaches contemporary voice lessons at the University of Miami. She also leads a vocal jazz ensemble, a women’s choir, and teaches jazz voice lessons at Miami Dade College.
