Greg Diamond is a prolific guitarist, composer, recording artist, clinician, and educator hailing from New York City. Touted as “a rising star in the New York jazz scene” by All About Jazz and a “composer of great maturity and genius” by Latin Jazz Network, he has released five studio albums since 2008.
Greg’s group is no stranger to numerous premier venues, such as The Blue Note, Iridium Jazz Club, Joe’s Pub, Smalls Jazz Club, and Zinc Bar – not to mention numerous festival presentations at The Madrid International Jazz Festival, Barranqui Jazz Festival, Jimmy Glass Jazz Festival, Teatro Libre Jazz Festival, Mede Jazz Festival, Jazz al Parque Festival, and the Nublu Jazz Festival.
Greg received his Doctor of Musical Arts in Jazz Instrumental Performance from the University of Miami Frost School of Music. He has been active as an educator since 2005. In addition to private and group instruction, Greg has coached jazz ensembles at the University of Miami, has been a faculty resident for a semester at the Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music in India, and has given numerous clinics and masterclasses in Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
