Saxophone & Flute Teaching Artist

Eric Law, originally from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, began playing the piano at the age of nine. He then picked up the clarinet and soon after, the saxophone. He continued playing throughout high school, and learned from some of the foremost educators in North Carolina. In East Lansing, Michigan, Eric continued his education at Michigan State University. There, he studied under saxophonist Diego Rivera and, in 2022, graduated from MSU with a Bachelor of Music degree. Eric now pursues his Master of Music degree at the University of Miami Frost School of Music, where he studies with Marcus Strickland.

Eric has performed on stages across the United States and around the world. In 2022, he toured across the United Kingdom with Michael Bublé and his orchestra. In 2019, Eric performed in Tokyo and Kanazawa, Japan with the Michigan State Jazz Orchestra. He has also had the opportunity to perform with some of his mentors and heroes. Among these are Rodney Whitaker, Etienne Charles and Creole Soul, the Michael Dease Quintet, Xavier Davis, and Randy Napoleon. Appearances at venues throughout the state of Michigan include the Detroit Jazz Festival, Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe, and Blue Llama Jazz Club.
