Forrest Fowler

Guitar Teaching Artist

Forrest Fowler is a performing guitarist, composer, and educator residing in Miami, Florida. He received his Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from Ottawa University in 2016, and his Master of Music from the Conservatory at the University of Missouri, Kansas City in 2021. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami.

Forrest regularly appears as both a bandleader and sideman, performing music in a wide variety of genres ranging from jazz, funk, and rock to soukous, bossa nova, samba, and everything in between.

Forrest is a passionate educator. His teaching style focuses on developing practical musicianship, and tailoring it to students’ individual goals.
