Alan Nguyen – Guitar Instructor

Alan Nguyen began his classical guitar studies at age fifteen.  He went onto to receive full scholarships to study at State College of Florida and the University of Miami where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in guitar performance.  Alan was the recipient of first prize in the 2007 FCCAA Student Artist Competition at Stetson University, and 2007 SCF Concerto Competition.  He has been featured as a solo artist for the Sarasota Guitar Society’s Mini Recital Series and the Miami International Guitar Festival Showcase Concert Series.  He’s had the privilege of performing in eight master classes with world-renowned guitarist Manuel Barrueco as well as other artists such as Berta Rojas, Ana Vidovic, Thomas Muller-Pering, and Dr. Stephen Robinson.  Alan is a member of the Miami Guitar Trio whose recent performances include an all Baroque program for the Miami Bach Society and a live interview and performance on South Florida NPR.  Alan is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in guitar at FIU, studying under Rafael Padron.
