Daniel Strange–a complete-styles pianist and accompanist–has performed on a variety of stages including Carnegie Hall and NBC’s The Today Show.  Daniel earned his Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Southern Maine, where he was awarded the Excellence in Music Award.  He received his Master’s degree in Music from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music (FSOM), where he served as the jazz piano teaching assistant.  Daniel has performed with critically acclaimed artists representing multiple genres including Eric Marienthal, Sam Rivers, Jodi Benson, Susan Egan, Robert Davi, Mark O’Connor, folk legend Noel Paul Stookey and two-time Tony award-winner Sutton Foster.  He has played in orchestra pits for the national touring companies of Wicked, Jersey Boys, Les Miserables, Dreamgirls, Young Frankenstein, Legally Blonde, and A Chorus Line.  As a composer, Daniel has written, arranged and orchestrated for numerous musical settings including jazz, pop, choral, and orchestral. He is an adjunct professor for the FSOM’s award-winning Studio Music and Jazz Department, and is also the jazz piano teacher at Broward College. Daniel can be heard on the Stephen Guerra Big Band’s album Namesake, as well as his own album with his wife, violinist Ashley Liberty, entitled Snapshot.
